mySimon modifications to Bugzilla
10/01/00 -- bugzilla is revamped for greater usability
- the site is given a design facelift utilizing an alternative mySimon site color scheme
- a greatly enhanced navigation interface is added to the site
- the query capability is broken down into a basic and an advanced search. The basic search is created to streamline the query page, while the advanced search retains Bugzilla's robust search features
- bug prioritization and severity values are combined into one prioritization value
- the "version" value is removed
- creation date value is given a higher prominence
- more information is provided in bug listing pages and sorting capabilities are added
- unused functions such as bug voting and dependency tree values are removed to streamline the interface
mySimon modifications to Bugzilla
6/01/00 -- bugzilla is live for the first time, with the following new features:
- added a toolbar on top to aid navigation. The toolbar has buttons/links to: home, new bug submission form, query form, query by id number
- bugzilla user ids are NOT e-mails. Original version required entering username@company.com in every field that lists a user name. Now @mySimon.com suffix is automatically assumed. Entering xxx@mysimon.com WILL NOT WORK!
- added a simple query 'Bugs Assigned to ME', which is available from the home page. This allows currently logged in user to see which bugs they should be working on, without doing any queries.
- added a user LIST in 'Reassign Bug To' field on a bug form
- added a set of standard components that we have at mySimon. Added component owners to database.
- modified OS field to contain a realistic set of OSes we might use
